Spanning two levels, the Grand Lodge is a unique and impressive tiered theatre seating up to 550 delegates. Architectural timber acoustic panelling wraps the room, with high-speed internet connectivity of up to 1000 Mbps and broadcast-grade audiovisual built in. It is the natural home for conference plenaries, award ceremonies, graduations, lectures and live performance.

Where is the Grand Lodge in the building, and is it accessible?
The Grand Lodge is on Level 1 (spanning two storeys) of the Sydney Masonic Centre at 66 Goulburn Street, Sydney CBD — a short walk from Central, Museum and Town Hall stations. All twelve SMC spaces are fully accessible.
What AV is built into the Grand Lodge?
Broadcast-grade audiovisual is built in, with a lectern, stage and full presentation AV in a two-storey tiered auditorium. Everything is run by SMC's in-house audiovisual team with digital concierge support, and the Centre has dedicated internet up to 1 Gbps — so there's no third-party AV hire to arrange.
Can the Grand Lodge be combined with other spaces?
Yes. SMC's twelve rooms are designed to run together — a plenary with breakout rooms, or the Grand Lodge with the Marble Foyer for arrival drinks. Tell us your numbers and our team will suggest the right combination.
Is catering available in the Grand Lodge?
Yes — all catering is cooked in the building by SMC's in-house chefs, from working lunches and conference breaks to plated gala dinners and canapé receptions. Menus are on our Catering page and can be tailored to your event.
