Be quick! Last places for a ‘first look’ at SMC’s newly renovated spaces before the grand-opening.

At SMC, the end is in sight for the multi-million dollar renovation program set to transform the centre. All of the new AV and technology infrastructure is integrated throughout, the state-of-the-art is in place, architectural lighting systems have been installed and the finishing touches are being made to the luxury interiors of the 13 new and refreshed event spaces.

With a Grand Re-Opening scheduled for May 2019, event organisers are invited for a First Look at the new SMC. Be quick to sign up for one of three industry famils on Thursday 16 May as there are only a few places left in each. Choose the famil that suits you best. Either the:

  • 9-11am Morning Tea
  • 12noon-2pm Lunch, or the
  • 4-7pm Cocktail famil

Each famil includes expert guided tours of the newly renovated spaces, a presentation of the services and facilities as well as an unprecedented opportunity to meet industry suppliers. Enjoy the entertainment and a taste of SMC’s world-class catering fare too. Bring your business cards. There will be lucky door prizes at each famil including a Fitbit Charge 2, TFE Hotel voucher, bottle of French Champagne and a voucher to use towards the cost of your next event at SMC.

The SMC team looks forward to taking you through their magnificent and unique purpose-built conference and event centre and showing off every aspect of this incredible 21st century transformation of a 20th century architectural landmark.

News Flash! At each famil, the SMC team will showcase a new event app dedicated to enhancing the experience of attendees at live events. Some of the main features include a digital event agenda, one-to-one messaging, attendee profiles for networking, speaker profiles, sponsor pages and social media integration.
